September 3 – Feast of Pope St. Gregory

September 3rd, 2010, Promulgated by Gen

In honor of this great Pontiff, I present the Gregorian Missa Orbis Factor. Pope St. Gregory is the one whose name graces that music we all know and love, Gregorian Chant. In fact, when you find a painting of him, often times a dove, representing the Holy Spirit, is perched on his shoulder, whispering the sweet melodies and words God Himself deigns worthy for the Holy Mass.
